About Get Reels

Our Mission

Get Reels was created with one simple goal: make it effortless for anyone to save videos, audio, and photos from the platforms they love — completely free, with no watermarks, and with absolute respect for user privacy.

We believe that if something is publicly available on the internet, you should be able to save it for personal viewing, educational research, or offline access — without having to install bloated software, create accounts, or share your personal data.

What We Do

Get Reels is a browser-based media downloader that supports the following:

• Instagram Reels & Videos: Download public Instagram Reels in original quality with no watermark or logo overlay.
• AI Content Repurposing: Automatically extract high-retention viral hooks, key takeaways, and captions from creator videos.
• Audio / MP3 Extraction: Extract audio from public reels and save it as high-quality MP3 for creator sound design.
• Photo & Cover Downloads: Save Instagram photos and reel covers as full-resolution JPG images.

How It Works

When you paste a video URL into Get Reels and click Download, our backend server fetches the publicly accessible media stream URL from the source platform. This stream is then proxied directly to your browser in real time — no files are written to our servers at any point. This is what we call our Zero Server Storage architecture.

This approach ensures:

• Your downloads are fast — no upload/store/retrieve cycle.
• Your privacy is protected — we never hold your media files.
• Our servers stay lean — no storage costs or copyright liability from hosting user content.

Our Values

• Privacy First: We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service. We never sell your data to third parties.
• Transparency: We clearly disclose our advertising relationships (Google AdSense), our data practices, and our limitations.
• Respect for Creators: We encourage users to download content only for personal use and to always credit original creators. Our DMCA policy ensures copyright holders can contact us at any time.
• Free for Everyone: Get Reels is and will remain free. We sustain the service through non-intrusive advertising from Google AdSense.
